This year our goal for Black Friday was to find an artificial
Christmas tree. And thankfully after five stores we were faced with the
dilemma of how to cram the giant box into our tiny little car. Once we had the tree in tow though, I realized I really needed to buckle down to finish the tree skirt. I discovered The Johnston's diy tree skirt and wanted to create one just like it.
I bought 5 yards of red satin from Joann's Fabrics, one roll of 6 inch burlap from Michael's, and a cheap tree skirt from Dollar Tree to use as a base. After surging the edges of the red fabric so it wouldn't unravel, I got to work.
The final product! So happy with how it turned out!!
